How We Make Plastic Toys

Plastic toys manufacturing is a very technical process. With our fully equipped production lines, we will use different methods and techniques in order to create high-quality plastic toys.

Plastic Toy Material

High-quality plastic toys are usually made of single materials such as ABS, PVC, etc., which have good gloss and color, high hardness and toughness, and excellent stability of the toys.

It can be resistant to high temperatures, wear-resistant, and non-toxic, environmentally friendly, so many high-end plastic toy brands choose these as raw materials.

Toy Production Process

The manufacturing process of toys is so complex that it takes a lot of specialized equipment and many steps involved. The first step in the manufacturing process of toys is to design the toy model. A designer will create a 3D model of the plastic toy using computer software and then send it to an engineer who will evaluate whether or not it can be produced with available materials and machinery. The next step involves creating molds for each part required by the toy design.

Once these molds have been created they are sent to an injection molder where they will be loaded onto machines that squeeze molten plastic into them at high pressures, producing thousands of identical parts per hour! Finally, all those plastic toy parts are assembled together by hand into complete plastic toys.

How Are Toys Made in Our Factory

Mold Casting

The first step in the process is to create a plastic toy steel mold. Mold casting is a process that uses molds to create identical copies of an object. A mold can be made from metal or plastic. When used for making toys, it’s usually made from plastic. The mold is filled with liquid plastic, which hardens and forms a replica of the original object.

The molds come in two parts: an upper part that contains the design for one side of the figure and a lower part containing the design for the opposite side.

Injection Molding

Plastic toy manufacturers use a variety of equipment to create plastic figures. The most common piece of machinery is an injection molding machine, which uses heat and pressure to inject molten plastic into molds. Injection molding consists of three main steps: injecting the material into the mold cavity; waiting for the material to cool and solidify, and opening or breaking away the finished part from its casting gate.

Injection molding is one of the most common toy manufacturing processes because it produces high-quality parts at a low cost. It allows manufacturers to create a large number of replicas using the same mold, which reduces production costs. In addition, this process has a high throughput rate due to its speed and efficiency.

Rotational Molding

Rotational molding is a process where plastic pellets are heated, mixed, and injected into a mold. The mold rotates as the plastic cools and hardens. The result is a hollow plastic part with no seams or joins.

Spray Painting

Spray painting is a process in which the object is sprayed with paint and it comes in different techniques like electrostatic, airless, and manual. Spray painting is used to apply a single coat of paint to an object, which can be done quickly and efficiently.

Hand Painting

Hand painting can be used when the toy is small, or the part is too intricate for a machine to paint properly. For example, when hand painting eyes on a doll or teddy bear, the artist may need to use a fine brush to paint each eyelash and pupil individually. This takes time and patience, but results in handmade toys that look unique and one-of-a-kind!

Assemble

When plastic toy coloring is finished, then use glue to assemble the plastic toys of the various disassembled parts.

Toy Packaging

Packaging is the process of preparing plastic toys for transport, storage, sale, and use. The packaging itself is also known as a package or container; it includes the box, bag, or wrapper.

In our factory, plastic toys are packaged in boxes and bags to protect them from damage during shipping and handling. Toys are usually packed in carton boxes that have a lid on top with an opening at one end that can be torn off by consumers when they open their new toy gift box. After opening this lid you will find another cardboard piece inside that protects your toy from getting damaged during shipping.

Conclusion

With so many manufacturing processes of toys to choose from, Palco International Limited can customize plastic figures and toys with a wide range of colors and textures. This makes it possible to create an endless variety of plastic toys that appeal to kids everywhere!
